THE
CHALLENGE!
Do you think
you are prepared to use a firearm in a life threatening situation and
make it out alive? If so, then you MUST take “The Challenge”.
The purpose
of “The Challenge” is simply to get you to realize where you are in
your training. As instructors we always come across people who think
they are more prepared for a life threatening situation than what they
really are. And after taking our training they realize just how little
they were prepared with or without prior firearms training!!!
For those of
you who have not trained, hopefully this will be an eye opener as to
the fact that you need to train on a regular basis. And, that you need
professional realistic and practical training. Of course, you need to
have the basics down before considering “advanced” training. Now, for
those who have received formal training at the basic level, you need
more training and this video will show you EXACTLY
why you need realistic
and practical training! Of course, instructors are going to tell you
that you need more training. The issue is that a lot of instructors
do not offer training that you will need in order to survive a real
life confrontation.
Last but not
least, to those who have “advanced” training… Is the training you received
something that will actually save your life? Just how prepared do you
THINK you are with the firearms training you have received? Do you dare
to take “The Challenge”? It could be an eye opener for you as well!!!
Yes, action
is NORMALLY faster than reaction. However, if you know
the attacker’s cues you can pick up on them and have an advantage. Going
straight for your gun is normally not a good idea. The reason for that
is because you probably need to use some type of unarmed combatives
to fight your way to your gun. Now, drawing your gun is not always the
thing to do, as this is the case in the situations in the video. You
would be better off handling the attacker using unarmed combatives,
slowing them down even for a half of a second or more, and then attempting
to draw your gun! Of course, there are other things that you could do
to help your situation out. That is why you need our training!
As we mentioned
in the video clip, not all firearms training is equal or suitable for
self-defense purposes. Our training integrates the use of unarmed combatives
with firearms. After all, your gun is JUST A TOOL! So
many people including instructors tend to forget this simple fact. Sure,
in a confrontation involving an attacker with a knife, you are probably
going to get cut. However, we will teach you ways of minimizing the
risks involved in dealing with such an attacker.
A large portion
of firearms training does not teach you how to deal with situations
like the ones you just witnessed on the video. The reason is because
this is where unarmed combat skills come into play. Your top priority
in a confrontation is to stay alive. And staying alive does not always
mean drawing your gun! However, you must remain in the fight long enough
to possibly have the opportunity to ATTEMPT to draw
your gun IF that is the thing to do. Simply put, you
must FIGHT by any means possible to survive.
Once again,
our training is unique because we teach unarmed combatives and firearms
training at the same time! Why isn’t everyone doing it you ask? Because
a lot of firearms instructors are focused on using the gun to resolve
the situation. And, because a large portion of instructors do not possess
unarmed combat skills.
